Here’s my sketches and montone roughs (click to enlarge and view all) for the Hannay Robertson artwork. With this type of looser work I never really care for the actual colours or linework too much - it’s all about getting the values looking good and mono mock ups are awesome for this. I’ve actually started using them far more in my roughs, they help so much with getting a good composition/layout.
